Future Toys

I bought several patterns from wee wonderfuls to make toys for the Little Guy. A normal person would probably buy one pattern first and see if they actually made the toy before buying them all. But not me. We'll see how it goes.

Of Hats & Penguins

I finished The Little Guy's Viking hat and his pumpkin hat.



I should have sewn the horns a little lower. I have enough yarn to make another hat. Maybe I will.



This hat barely fits. If it's too small come Thanksgiving I'll knit another one.



The Little Guy is going to be a penguin for Halloween. I decided he needed a stuffed penguin to go with his costume. Hopefully I'm able to finish it in time.

Knitting Break

This break brought to you by Grandma Martha. My mother-in-law "watched" (he was napping) the Little Guy while I got away for a little knitting. It's the pumpkin hat from Itty Bitty Hats.



Unfortunately I realized I was knitting a smaller sized hat then I thought. Once the Little Guy wakes up I'll try it on him. I may have to abandon this and start again. I don't think I'll be able to use this yarn again. I'm using Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk dk and it is surprisingly delicate.

In the meantime I've cast on for the leaf. Little Guy will have a pumpkin hat!

What's this?

I've finished the knitting on the Little Guy's Viking hat. Now I just have to sew the horns on. That will probably only take me another four months.

I'm hoping to get to the yarn shop this afternoon. I want to pick up the yarn and needles for the pumpkin hat.
