New Yarn

I got some new sock yarn from Zen Yarn Garden. I wanted to try some cotton yarn sock yarn for a change.

The skein on top is Guava Jelly and the one below is Ocean Lime. The skeins are tiny. Is there really enough to make a pair of socks?

The tag says there is 400 yards per skein. I guess that means these will be short socks.

Hi...yes, there really is 400 yards...it's a very stretchy yarn with the lycra so when knitting, it will stretch out for you. After washing, it tightens back up. Since it's been in a dye bath, it's in a "just-washed" tighter state. That's the beauty of the lycra...springy and elastic. Enjoy!

One other thing...it's fingering weight so 400 yards is plenty for a regular sized pair of socks because you're using a very small needle. A little goes a long way. Hope that helps but if you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I don't mind at all!
