Starting to Show

I’ve jumped on the pregnancy bandwagon. It seems like everyone is pregnant right now.

I’m looking forward to actually looking like I’m pregnant and not just look like I’m gaining weight. The baby is due in May 2007 and so far I’ve been pretty lucky symptom wise. I’ve had no morning sickness but have had three colds in less then three months.

I haven’t been doing a lot of knitting lately. My energy and powers of concentration have been low and I’m afraid of dropping stitches. I hope to have some progress photos on the knitting I have been doing up by Friday.

New Project

Not too surprisingly I decided to cat on a new project. Inspired by this photo I decided to cast on a new project. It’s the Sunrise Circle Jacket from Interweave Knits. I was going to use the light blue Rowan Summer Tweed called Powder. But I didn't have enough yarn for the size I want so I'm using Salad instead.

Here’s as far as I’ve gotten. The color isn’t very accurate in this picture.

I’ve made some progress on mom’s Vera Jaywalker sock. I’ve started the heel flap. Per usual, I’m not going to make my deadline (Thanksgiving weekend).

What next?

I finally finished my super secret gift. It was a lilac baby blanket for me friend Julie who’s expecting her second child before the end of the month. Of course, I didn’t get any pictures.

What to knit next? Should I knit the first sleeve for my mom’s sweater? Should I concentrate on the sock I’m knitting for my mom? Should I start something new?

Details tomorrow.
