Check number seven - almost

Number seven on my New Years Resolutions was: Clean up/out second bedroom and paint it. I've cleaned it up and out. You can see the before photos here.

Here's what the room looks like now.

All that's left is to paint it. That will have to wait until Greg is done with the finish work.

Unfortunately most of the stuff has been stuffed under the stairs in the sun room.

I'm hoping to conquer this area during tomorrow's nap. Next week I'm going to go take a hard look at the stash and get rid of some of it. I know there's stuff in there I will never use.

Off the Hook

Or is it off the needle? I don't need to knit anymore hats. The Santa Cruz has hat filled the need. Lucky me since I still haven't figured out the Foliage pattern. I'm going to need to seek some help with that one.

Now back to my regular knitting. I've finished the first Monkey sock for my mom and am working hard on the second Thuja-Walker. I'll have photos soon.

Time for bed.

Ravelympics

I signed up to compete in the Ravelympics this year. I'm not calling it the Knitting Olympics because I'm boycotting the Olympics this year since they're in China. Although, I have to admit it's not much of a sacrifice. I've not watched the Olympics since they preempted MacGyver when I was a kid.

Anyway... Mostly I'm interested in the challenge. I'm participating in the Sweater Sprint. I'm going to attempt to knit the February Lady Sweater from Flint Knits in 17 days. This will be a real challenge since I haven't finished any big projects recently with or without a deadline.

I'm using stash yarn to boot. It's my Lamb's Pride Worsted in Prairie Fire. I frogged an ancient WIP

One down, one to go

I finished the first of my two hats of emergency knitting. This hat is already in the mail.

It's the Santa Cruz hat using Blue Sky Alpaca Dyed Cotton in sky blue. The second hat I'm working on is Foliage but I'm having trouble with it.

Making Progress

I've been working slow but steady on my two pairs of socks. I finished the first of the Thuja-walkers. I've already started the second one and gotten pretty far.

I'm almost there with the first of my Mom's monkeys. I think I'll do one more repeat before starting the toe.

My sock progress will be slowed for the next few days. I have to do some emergency knitting with a tight deadline.
