Not brainless enough

I cast on the Simply Brainless Shawl about a week ago. It started it back when I was really suffering from my endless cold. Obviously it wasn't brainless enough. I somehow managed to move my center stitch. I ripped it out this afternoon.

I also made a huge blunder on my In Between Shawl. I'm trying to get some help on it. This means I am currently in between projects. That's probably for the best. Little Miss is in the process of getting three teeth. I'm not sure I can really knit very well in my sleep deprived state.

Something to show for it

I finished, blocked and gifted my Jumping on the Bandwagon Shawl. It was well received. I'm glad Melanie liked it. I'm also glad to be finally finished with this project. It really kicked my butt.

Project Details:
Pattern: Ishbel
Yarn: Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Sock in truffles colorway.
Modifications: Only all the mistakes I made.

Now on to something else.

Baby with knitting

The weather has been beautiful here. My mom and I took the kiddos to a park by the river for the afternoon. I took advantage and got a little bit of knitting done.

Into the Sunset

We've all been hit with a bad cold here. I've been feeling rather brainless so I decided to cast on another shawl so I could have something simple to knit. It's Traveling Women knit with Lorna's Laces Shepard sock in the Flames colorway. I'm using a thinner yarn and smaller needles so I plan on doing more repeats of the stockinette and the lace.

I was thinking of calling this shawl Flaming Women or Traveling Flame but the colors remind me more of a sunset then flames. Perhaps I should call it Sunset Women.

Need another one

I finished my Peppermint Oreo squares. I'll be handing it off to Kylie next time I see her. Now I need another simple knitting project. I was watching 9 this evening. I was working on Section B of my Bandwagon Shawl and I messed up. I'm going to have to take a closer look tomorrow. I'm not sure what my next simple project will be.
