I won something!

I don't usually enter drawings and so I don't usually win anything. But at I changed my mind at the Columbia Gorge Fiber Festival. I figured I didn't mind if other fiber enthusiasts had my info and look what happened!? I won a prize.

Its 4 oz. of lovely spinning fiber from Abstract Fiber. Its 85% Polwarth and 15% silk in the Chocolate Rainbow colorway. I love it! I may have to pull out my spinning wheel and start practicing. Maybe in a year I'll be skilled enough to do justice to this beautiful fiber.

Getting Ready

Sherlock, Series 2 starts on Sunday. And I am ready! I'm going to cast on Shaelyn on Sunday, only knit it while watching Series 2 and see how far I get. The yarn isn't quite Shock Blanket Orange enough but I'm still going with it. I need to start using stash yarn again.

More Yarn

But not self striping. This is Dancing Dog Dyeworks Waltz Worsted in Rawrr and Bot Bucket. I'm thinking of saving them for hats for the kids this winter.
